Prangli Island is located just 30 km from Estonia's capital. It is the only Northern Estonian Island, that has been continuously inhabited for more than 600 years now. It still has very strong traditions in fishing, its own dialect of Estonian language, very diverse nature and friendly locals.
The island was first inhabited by the pirates of the Baltic Sea, later colonised by Finns and Swedes and more recently isolated from the world by Soviet power. Today Prangli lives on, presenting an authentic, peaceful, fishing-village atmosphere.
Just be careful not to wake the island from its slumber. We want to preserve it in all its purity. It's still untouched by mass tourism, and has wonderful sand beaches and pine forests that create enough fresh air to overwhelm the senses.
Prangli Island Day Tours are really enriching your Tallinn visit, letting you expreience something completely diffrerent from city life!
